1. Sun Ra's music is often traditional and radical at the same time and this compilation of all the known 45s put out by Sun Ra follows the simultaneous traditional/radical concept. According to the cd liner notes some of these 45s were pressed in batches of 50, so good luck ever finding a copy/5(17).

Hard to get your head around the whole double cd as the tracks are all quite short and fly by /5(57).

7. If you're new to Ra's singles work there's a 49 track 2 CD set from on Evidence ("The Singles") that covers much the same ground as this set though it doesn't have the depth of this (approximately 3 1/2 hours) 65 track 3 CD set/5(13).
